A colorful nutritious soup for all ages. It is a family soup where all of us enjoy having a hot bowl each as it is very aromatic and tasty. The natural sweetness comes from big onions and anchovis (ikan billis). My kids refer it as Ah Mah's ABC soup. I usually add in more onions in the soup together with carrots, tomatoes and potatoes. Onions and tomatoes has good nutritional values...thus providing a healthy nutritious soup for the family. A simple recipe to try for those who wish to start basic cooking.
- some anchovis
- 2 tomatoes - cut into cubes
- 2 carrots - cut into cubes
- 3 potatoes - cut into cubes
- 2 - 3 onions - cut into cubes
- salt - to taste
Simple Process :
- Heat a little oil in a pan and stir fry anchovies till aromatic
- Once anchovies is ready, put it into a pot of 2 litres water and boil over low heat
- Add in the cut onions, tomatoes, potatoes and carrots and let it boil over low heat for next 40 minutes or till vegetables has soften..add salt to taste
- The soup is very aromatic when it is close to ready....
