Lotus Roots Soup

A nice beautiful soup for a hot weather. Well, this is Lotus Roots Soup and you can cook it with either Chicken Meat or Pork Ribs, it's your choice as both taste just as good too. Lotus Roots has good nutritious value , as extracted in my earlier post...check it out! It is so easy to prepare, just dropped in all the ingredients in a pot of water and boil over low heat for an hour and a half and it is ready to serve.


To make this soup, these are the ingredients you required : Some chicken meat or pork ribs, 2 long lotus roots - cut into slices, a handful of dates, 1 piece of dried squid - cut into small pieces to add extra aroma to the soup, salt to taste.

Put all into the pot filled with 1.5 litre water and cook till lotus roots soften. It should take about 1.5 hours cooking over low heat.





Enjoy a hot bowl of nutritious soup
