Chinese-Fried Noodle

A simple and easy to prepare Chinese Fried Noodle. It looks rather plain but taste simply great to eat along with Sambal Belacan (chilly pounded with roasted dried shrimp paste). This style fried noodle is a speciality from the northern part of Malaysia. As in the central part, the noodle used is fat and looks like Udon and fried with dark soy sauce. The fresh noodle is fried with prawns, meat, beansprout and green leafy vege. It is good to have during days when lazy mum has a busy schedule as it is fast to cook and good to eat..... :))

All you need : Serve 4
  • a packet of fresh noodle - wash before use
  • some medium size prawns
  • some chicken or pork
  • some beansprout
  • some green leafy vegetable
  • 1 clove garlic - chopped
  • 1 big onion - chopped
  • sambal belacan ** (home made or buy it from the shelf)

Simple Process :
1. Heat the wok with some oil, saute the garlic and onion till fragrant

2. Add the prawns and meat, stir fry till meat is lightly cooked

3. Put in the washed noodle, add 1/2 bowl water, close the lid of the wok and let it cook over medium heat for 5 mins

4. Add in the vegetables, beansprout and stir well till the gravy thickens within the next 10 minutes

** dark soy sauce can be added if you wish to have a dark color noodle

Enjoy Your Meal!
