Dried WanTon Noodle

This is my simple version of Dried WanTon Noodle. Wanton noodles are made from wheat flour. We love WanTon Noodle that is "springy" in taste when cooked. There are some that goes "soggy" when blanched in boiling water. No wanton (dumpling) is served in this meal instead I have some cooked minced meat in dark soy and oyster sauce with asparagus mushrooms instead. Simple to prepare and great to taste, good for days where I have tight work schedule and still keep the family happy with a healthy meal at home....

All you need:
  • packet wanton noodle
  • some minced meat
  • dark soy sauce
  • oyster sauce
  • some asparagus mushroom
  • some green leafy vegetables
  • sprig of spring onion - chopped
  • 6 pips of garlic - chopped

Simple Process :

1. Heat the wok with a little oil, saute the garlic till aromatic, add the minced meat
2. Add the dark soy sauce and oyster sauce, a dash of pepper, stir fry
3. Add a small bowl of water to allow the meat to simmer for 10 minutes, add in the asparagus mushroom or other choices of mushroom
4. Add a little cornstarch to lightly thicken the gravy. As the noodle soaks up the gravy very quickly, do have extra gravy to standby

Next....
1. Blanched the wanton noodle in boiling water till it has soften - drain dry
2. Standby a plate with 1 Tbs dark soy sauce, 1/2 Tbs sesame oil, the green leafy vegetables
3. Put the drained noodle and mixed well with the mixture on the plate
4. Serve with the cooked meat and mushroom toppings on top
