Yummy Gravy Rice

Look at this simple to cook yummy rice. A delicious thick gravy poured over the cooked rice and served hot... wow! Lazy Mum enjoys cooking something simple and good to eat for the family and most of all it is being appreciated.. :)) That's wonderful!

All you need for the Gravy :

  • some fish balls - slice thinly
  • some fish cake - slice thinly
  • 1 pc chicken breast meat - cut into cubes
  • 1 carrot - slice thinly
  • 1 pkt sweet green pea
  • some chinese cabbage - cut into pieces
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 pips of garlic - chopped
  • 3 Tbs cornflour - mixed with 1 Tbs water
  • 500 ml water
  • 1 Tbs cooking wine **optional
Simple Process :
  • Heat the wok with a little oil and saute the garlic till aromatic
  • Add in the chicken, fish ball and fish cake and stir fry till chicken turned white
  • Add in the 500 ml water, chinese cabbage, salt to taste and let it simmer over medium heat for 15 mins
  • Next, add in the carrot and sweet green pea and allow it to simmer for 5 mins
  • Stir in the cornstarch, bring to a quick boil, add the cooking wine. Lastly, drop in the beaten egg and a quick stir, off the heat.
  • Pour the gravy over cooked rice and serve
